Presentation Materials
Presentation materials for "How To Make Sara Moulton's Vinaigrette" consists of two major items:  the Web site and the video lesson. The video lesson is in segments, each of which is linked to the Web site. A flowchart, illustrating what is needed is below:

Web Site Plans

The Web site home page, which features the recipe and other links should be laid out in a fashion similar to the following plan::
Full Recipe Web Home Page

Description
As indicated, the recipe Web home page should contain the full recipe, lists of equipment and ingredients,  a "print recipe" option, a link to the glossary,  the image of the completed vinaigrette on a salad, an area for the lesson videos to appear within this page and the links to all the video lessons.

Interactivity
From the main page the learner can decide to either: print the full recipe, view the glossary or watch one of the seven videos. After watching the video the learner can go back to the main page to view the recipe or glossary again or go to the end with the completed recipe. Once Good Foods launches its full instructional Web site, there will need to be links from that home page to individual lessons, such as "How To Make Sara Moulton's Lemon Vinaigrette."

The following content information sheets should aid in the development of the Web site :
    Ingredients
    Equipment
    Instructions
    Glossary

Video Plans
The video will consist of seven segments, each of which can be downloaded and played independently. The video will also reference the other components of the Web site. See the storyboard linked below:

Environment Plans

Learner's Environment
The learner's home learning environment should consist of a fully-equipped kitchen with access to a computer. The computer should meet the standards outlined in the Hardware/Software analysis. A printer either in the kitchen or nearby is desirable, but not an absolute requirement.

The learner can access the Web site at any time to check on the equipment and ingredients necessary to complete the recipe. The learner is expected to have those items available when completing the lesson.

Demonstration Kitchen
In order to save money and time, one of Good Foods demonstration kitchens will be used as the set for the videotaped lessons. Because the kitchen is designed for presentations and has ample space currently designated for seating, it will be easy to bring in a video field production team to shoot the video on location.

The demonstration kitchen will also be used for the assessment portion of the lesson, when members of a test audience are asked to complete the lesson and participate in the evaluation phase. The kitchen must house the following ingredients and equipment:
 Ingredients:
1 lemon
1/3 cup extra-virgin olive oil
table salt
black pepper in a pepper grinder

Equipment
liquid measuring cup, at least 1-cup size
cutting board
paring knife
glass or plastic bowls in various sizes, including a 2-quart size
metal bowls in various sizes, including a 2-quart size*
whisk
3 tablespoons

*Although the metal bowl is not recommended for the recipe, it is needed to test the learner's understanding of the effect of acidic lemon juice on a metal bowl. The learner should not select the metal bowl from the available choices.

Additional Items for Assessment Purposes
Prepared salad on a plate
Plastic wrap

Floor Plan
The floor plan of the demonstration kitchen includes the placement of the computer. It is linked below.

Equipment To Produce Web Site

Equipment To Produce Video
Since the video will be a field production, it is recommended that Good Foods hire a reputable production company to shoot and edit the lesson.  Although the crew will be responsible for selecting and providing the equipment, a suggested list is below:
2 digital cameras, with necessary cables
2 video recorders with audio capabilities
microphones--unidirectional with boom or lapel
audio cables
spare batteries
field lighting equipment
digital video tapes
gaffers tape
slate
digital editing equipment for video and audio tracks

Assessments Tools

Create a detailed description of the assessment tools.

"How To Make Sara Moulton's Lemon Vinaigrette" is a prototype lesson. In order to assess its effectiveness, a test audience will be used. The test audience should reflect the makeup of the target audience, as identified in the analysis section of this document. The assessment will include the following components:

Note: When actual learners complete future lessons via the Web site in the privacy of their own homes, an alternative assessment that features surveys and is accessible over the Web site, would have to be used.
