This section is your lesson plan - a step-by-step plan that takes the instruction from being to end. Write as if you are are not the instructor and you are telling the instructor what to do and when. Take the finished materials and lay them out in such a way that the instructor or learner can complete the learning experience as it was intended. Assume the materials have been create and reference them appropriately (e.g., screen-by-screen, page-by-page, etc.). If need be, you may use your storyboards to illustrate how the materials will be used and when. If you are doing a prototype (using only one section of your lesson, please consult with me).

Lesson Setup

Include instructions to the instructor and/or learner regarding how to get ready for the lesson.

Since this lesson is self-directed, the following instructions are aimed at the learner.

In order to complete the lesson, do the following:
  1. Turn on computer.
  2. Access internet.

Lesson Plan

This is where the sequence of the instruction is explained. It can be viewed as a lesson plan. It should be explicit enough such that I could pick it up and teach from it (assuming I was a SME).

Since the lesson is self-directed, the Lesson Plan only includes the activities of the learner and a brief summary of the content of each video lesson segment.
